Dix petits chœurs pour voix égales, music by Patrice Bernard, poetic texts by Jacques Poitevin.
Jacques Poitevin’s texts are marvelous as they can as well fit a women’s choir as a children’s choir.
Patrice Bernard’s musics, for 2 equal (treble) voices choir and piano, totally respects the texts adding the color of the melodies and the harmonies.
Patrice BERNARD was born in 1952 in Casablanca. In addition to studying economics, he trained in music (piano, harmony, counterpoint, fugue, orchestration). He taught at the Conservatoire National de Région de Paris. :
He has written numerous works for stage and concert, for radio and cinema, such as :
- De si jolies réclames for mixed choir, awarded at the Composition contest in Tours (1991) and published by our Editions (ref. ACJ MA 12),
- La Muzaraigne (ref. CA 90), for mixed choir on the text of the Contes drôlatiques by Balzac.
- La grammaire en fête on the poem of Andrée Chedid : in March 2003, he obtained the 1st Prize in the category of composition of a cappella work for equal voices
- Le château des pauvres, on the poem of Paul Eluard: a 2nd Prize in the category of composition of work with instrumental accompaniment at the Competition organized by A Coeur Joie and Editions A Coeur Joie in partnership with the Ministry of Culture.
- C'est si beau, la terre on the poem of Michelle Roustan 2nd Prize in the category of composition of work with instrumental accompaniment at the Competition organized by A Coeur Joie and Editions A Coeur Joie in partnership with the Ministry of Culture.
We can say that he is a regular in the charts!
