The Chapelle Notre-Dame de Port-Blanc and the Calvary, Côtes d’Armor, inspired this song of which verses are based on the melody of an early Breton hymn. Théodore Botrel was nicknamed “le Breton de Montmartre,” he gathered countless songs including the most famous ones “La Paimpolaise” and “Le Petit Grégoire.”
