"I offer you 20 canons for choir with 3 equal or mixed voices. These songs of various styles (jazz, Christmas...) are composed on texts whose poetry is addressed to all types of interpreters, children and adults.
The length and the technicality of these 20 C(h)AN(t)ONS, will allow you to realize a thorough polyphonic work, while remaining in a playful atmosphere.
I hope that you will have as much pleasure singing them as I had in writing them, and that they will be able to seduce a large audience during your concerts ".

Some interpretive advices from the author:
"When the term "swing" appears on the score, the eighth notes must be interpreted in "ternary", as is common in jazz.
You can adapt these songs as you wish, according to the possibilities of your choir"..
- Follow the three phrases one after the other. Respect the successive entries, like traditional canons.
- You can sing them either a cappella or with piano accompaniment.
- Each voice can be dubbed by instruments. You can also add drums to accentuate the "jazz" effect of some canons.
- If you don't have a large number of singers, you can remove one voice, according to your choice. These canons "also sound very well with 2 voices.
You have the freedom to be inspired by these proposals of interpretation or to invent others. The only goal will be to amuse you by singing these 20 canons ".
