| | This musical tale can be performed by one or two children voices, a soloist soprano, a narrator, and a piano or instrumental ensemble (flute, clarinet, string instruments and piano) accompaniment. This story is told by an old deep-sea fisherman to children. There is a little girl who meets a little boy who can fix the stars. | | | This short collection of 5 songs was comoised by Norma Basso. It is based on poems by Maurice Carême. Chromaticism, tonal harmonies and spoken singing are intertwined. The piano part has a poetic function to introduce, accompany, stress the intonation, comment and help with the rhythm. The last song “Je ris, je cours, je chante” was added after the others. Norma Basso used the contemporary language in a spoken singing short introduction. She also added a modal part similar to the piano part of “Il a neigé.” It’s a beautiful work to discover.
