| | This is a collection of twenty secular and sacred pieces by Josquin Desprez intended for mixed choirs from two to six voices. As the major part of these songs are arranged for standard mixed choirs (SATB), very amateur choir can enjoy the musical genius of the greatest composer of that time. The major part of the songs of this collection were gathered by members of the Fédération des Associations de Musiques et Danses Traditionnelles. Justin Bonnet asked for French songs that were given by archivists of French associations. The songs had to be about an unusual topic or being an incredible song when performed… They all were suggested to the selected composers who chose the songs they wanted in this version. In the end, there are 23 songs with various arrangements, mainly intended for three mixed voices. They were selected for the esthetics aspect. Music comes first!
Many of FAMDT members have a website on which you can find the audio files. You can find the references in the introduction.
