This work was composed in February 2014. It was ordered by Per cantum choir, in Paris, in order to get a counterpart for Gabriel Fauré’s “Requiem.” It is intended to be performed with exactly the same instrumental ensemble : Two horns, two trumpets, three trombones, harp, timpani, solo violin, six altos, for cellos, two double basses.
