A cantata for 2 equal voices choir and instrumental accompaniment, "B.D. Blues" tells the story of a young man trying to get out of his depression. The work is presented as a series of interior climates that slowly evolve. At the beginning, solitude and blues; then, little by little, the meeting with the other and the dance. Possible staging.
Two versions:
1. Choir, piano, bass and drums version
2. Choir and big band version.
The version with big-band accompaniment uses the same choir parts as the version with jazz trio, but the arrangement makes the choir and the big-band dialogue to highlight the musical qualities of each.
