The news of Prosper MÉRIMÉE went around the world thanks to Georges BIZET's masterful musical setting. Pierre Gérard VERNY has revisited this masterpiece and adapted it for choir (SAB), narrator, saxophones and jazz trio: a very remarkable work that plunges us into Carmen's passionate and dramatic universe. The CD is a useful complement to the publication of Carmen in swing. It has been designed and produced for listening to the work but also as a working tool to help choir conductors and choristers.
