Dominick DiOrio is a promising choirmaster and composer. He has a very complete catalog inspite of his youth. He teaches conducting in Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. He already conducted the greatest American choirs. His vocal ensemble Notus, is specialized in contemporary classical music. This fine piece is based on a short extract from “Gospel of John.” Musical notation is similar to Arvo Pärt’s aesthetics; it is composed of imitation lines performed with a slow and stable tempo. The whole work is beautiful and is percfect to get accustomed to today’s musical language.
