The mixed-voice version by Antoine Dubois also gives off an enthusiastic feeling. Voices seem conniving as parallels move from one desk to another while musicians are playing calm three-four time. Sopranos sing verses and share choruses’ melody with altos when male voices alternate counter parts and harmonic bass. Every singer has an interesting work to do, following a relaxing and swinging rhythm. This version is really enjoyable to perform.
