The collection “V prírode” (In Nature’s Realm) was written from February 24 to 27, 1882 and was published during the same year in Leipzig. The first song is “Napadly písne.” After his first period of composing and his “Stabat Mater,” Antonín Dvorák searched for new inspirations in Czech and Slav folklore. “Napadly písne” is written with pianissimo altertaning forte. This is a beautiful song with no rhythm or theoretical difficulty.
