“O bone Jesu” is a famous song for standard mixed choirs. The composer was probably a Roman musician contemporary to Palestrina and who worked for the Sistine Chapel or for churches like the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran. Several lines were added but the two alternating choirs keep this atmosphere. The sheet music ends with “Amen” sung in unison.
