Tomás Luis de Victoria is one of the only composers of having only written church music. Even his co-writer Palestrina wrote some spiritual madrigal booklets. Tomás Luis de Victoria worked in Italy and that was where the major part of his masses, magnificats and motets. Then, he went to Madrid in Spain to work for the Empress Mary.
