In 2025, the Cité de la Voix celebrates several anniversaries: the 10th anniversary of its creation, the 25th anniversary of its festival Les Rencontres musicales de Vézelay and Raphaël Passaquet's 100th birthday!
Raphaël Passaquet (1925 - 2011), a leading figure in the French choral world, choral conductor, teacher, composer and harmonizer, was also the founder and artistic director of the Centre d'Art Polyphonique de Bourgogne, which later became Mission Voix Bourgogne, and of the Centre de Documentation pour l'Art Choral (CDAC). These activities are now integrated into the Cité de la Voix.
Raphaël Passaquet's complete archives have been donated at CDAC and can be browsed online or viewed on site in Dijon.

The compositions and harmonizations gathered here reflect the richness of Raphaël Passaquet's musical heritage. They invite us to share his work with future generations of choral conductors and choristers. May this collection inspire many performers and enable them to touch an essential part of what Raphaël Passaquet dedicated his life to: the choral art.
