| |  This singing is to be performed by a 2 equal voices choir and instruments (oboe, clarinet and bassoon). This Christmas singings are very easy for children choirs thanks to vocal ambitus and the polyphony. The arrangements were made in order to be performed in different ways but keeping a consistency in music: 2 voices + trio; 2 voices without accompaniment; 1 voice + trio. The composition of the instrumental trio can be modified depending on the context.

These carols with accessible ambitus and polyphony can be easily performed by children’s choirs. Several sizes of groups can perform these arrangements and be musically coherent: voices and a trio, 2 unaccompanied voices, or one voice and a trio. The instrumental trio can be changed according to the situation.

| |  This work was composed on December 3rd, 1836 and is part of the collection Opus 77 published in 1848 including 3 duets simply named “Three Duets”. It is divided up into strophes and there is no difficulty regarding the music theory and rhythm. The first work of this opus is “Sonntagsmorgen” and then comes “Das Aehrenfel” (based on Hoffmann von Fallersleben’s poem) composed in 1847 and the singing from “Ruy Blas” by Victor Hugo (Lied aus ‘Ruy Blas’) composed in 1839. The translation suggested by Erwin List gives an idea of what kind of beautiful text it is that inspire calm, serenity like Millet’s “L’angelus”. This work is for every group
