| | Melody with piano for children choir : « Hâte-toi de dormir » :
A poem by Jean-Pierre Siméon, set to music by Dominic Faricier, virtuoso pianist and also famous for his compositions for children choirs. Commissioned by the choir« La Cigale de Lyon » Link to the choir page
A magnificent text served by music perfectly adapted to children. For demanding singers, conductors and audiences. |
| | | It is the second part of the motet “Resonet in laudibus” and this section can be sung by 3 equal voices (originally it was sung by men performing with lower octave). It keeps the same balance of the other parts. We can hear this jubilation in the vocal exercises (“natus”, “virginem”), in the endless imitations on the word “apparuit” and since the beginning, this melodic-rhythmic motif of the term "hodie", very close to fanfare ringtones.
