This song by Jean Ferrat is very well suited for a choir performance, the arrangement is excellent.
He was born in 1937 and studied at Lycée La Fontaine then at École Normale Supérieure, Paris. He taught musical education then became a musical education advisor specialized in technique. He is also a musical learning instructor for adults about musical language and choirmaster’s behavior and trains new choirmasters. He is first and foremost known to be a choirmaster and a composer and arranger. He realized more than a hundred songs for 2-to-6 equal or mixed voices choirs. “Nuit et brouillard” (ref. ACJ 0101), “Ballade en novembre” (ref. ACJ 017) and “Les nomades” (ref. ACJ 918) are also arrangements from him.
