Été - Choeur et piano 4 mainsAndré Caplet is a little known composer from Le Havre. However, his music is amazing and deserves to be listened to, played and published.“Été” was composed in 1899 for choirs and orchestras. It was first published by Lemoine, but not anymore. This is a brand-new version arranged by Caen’s Conservatory professor Gilles Treille for a piano four hands.It was composed for À Coeur Joie general meeting on April 1, 2017 in Le Havre by the vocal ensembles Impressions and Renaissance and the choir Arioso.

Éternité de l'instantThis instrumental sheet music was composed for cellos and pianos. It is based on Gabriel Fauré’s “Sicilienne” opus 78. It was firstly composed for a scene of an unfinished incidental music for “Le Bourgeois gentilhomme.” Then, it was included into the incidental music of “Pelléas et Mélisande” by Maurice Maeterlinck (1898). It was arranged several times for various instrumental formations, but until this one, none of them were intended to be sung. This poem about love encounter between Pelléas and Mélisande was written with Gabriel Fauré’s music.
