| | |  This sheet music is based on the opening of The Barber of Seville. It was arranged for choirs and piano accompaniments. The text is quite alike to “L’Art Culinaire Moderne” by Henry-Paul Pellaprat published by Jacques Kramer for Éditions du Livre, Monte-Carlo. It can only be played by experienced choirs. Jean Malraye was born in 1927. He is a composer, a conductor and he practices at the Capriccio Ensemble. He is also a violinist and a lyric artist. He taught lyric art and singing at Chambéry and Paris 9th conservatories. After that, he became the headmaster of Théâtre de Caen in 1968 and then he supervised the Atelier lyrique of the same city. He conducted choirs and theater orchestras in several French cities. He wrote an opera for children entitled “Aurore ou la Fille au Cerf,” a lyric tragedy “Oedipe-Roi,” a requiem-oratorio “Le Grand Valet du Ciel” and any other works for choirs. He was one of the three founding members of the Académie du Disque Lyrique. |
