Benedictus - RheinbergerJoseph Rheinberger was one of the most famous composers of his time. He was a Kapellmeister for Ludwig II of Bavaria. He was a major figure for the German Catholic Church. He composed Latin masses and motets. He was internationally known as a teacher in composition. He taught to Engelbert Humperdinck, Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari, Wilhelm Furtwängler and many American composers. He won many prizes like the Grand Commander of the Order of the Crown of Bavaria and a Doctor Honoris Causa from the University of Munich. This sheet music was composed in 1882. It was written with a precised counterpoint quite classic. This is a beautiful work.
