Work intended to be performed by big mixed choirs, huge wind instruments ensembles and drums. The poem is based on the Great Hymn to the Aten, written during the 14th before Christ. The text is assigned to the pharaoh Akhenaten. Anthony Girard’s composed a beautiful piece, one of the three parts of the "Trilogy of light", commissionned for festival Choralies in Vaison-la-Romaine in 2001. The 3 works (circa 20 minutes each) are : "A la lumière" by Bruno Gousset, text by Anatole France, "Nausicaa" by Alfred Herzog upon a text by Homer from the Odysseus, and "Soleil d'Akhenaton".
