Ubi Caritas - Moreau

Ubi Caritas original composition by Thomas Moreau for four mixed voices SATB a cappella

:

"Where there is charity and love, God is present. After the repetition of the Gregorian antiphon from the Roman Gradual, this composition explores different modes and harmonies in the ecclesiastical spirit. »
Ubi caritas is a hymn of the Catholic Church. Originally, it was sung only on Good Thursday, during the foot washing ceremony, but nowadays it is sung more widely during any church service.
The talented composer Thomas Moreau has composed a music of great brightness, drawing the deep meaning of "Caritas", translated simply as charity but with a deep meaning of love of each other as taught by Christ.

For 4 mixed voices choir (SATB)

:

This piece will find its place as an antiphon for the liturgy but also for concerts, charitable or not. The exchange between the choir members, the conductor and the audience will allow this charity to be embodied and its meaning to be assimilated concretely through this immersion in the music.

Duration : 3’30’’
