Émile Waldteufel was a French composer. He became famous by composing several waltz, polkas and mazurkas. He was Eugénie de Montijo’s official pianist. She named him as the music and dance supervisor of the imperial court. Vincent Sauzéat arranged this song for choirs and pianos. It was played on the barrel organ for the theme of the French TV show “Ciné-Club.”
