Constantin CATRINA, born in 1933, is a doctor of musicology (National University of Music in Bucharest), a professor of music and a member of the Romanian Composers' Union. He has composed numerous musical works and written more than 600 musicological articles, music reviews, etc.; as an author he has notably collaborated in the editing of the Encyclopaedia of Romanian Music.
