Norma Basso

A choral conductor, singing teacher and composer, she has directed the choirs of the University of Córdoba and the École Normale Supérieure, and has been assistant conductor of the Chamber Choir of the Province of Córdoba (Argentina) and conductor of the Choir of the University of La Paz (Bolivia).

In France, from 1979 onwards, she was musical director of the "Musicantes" Vocal Group, with whom she toured France and Europe several times, and ran a number of vocal technique courses for singers and actors (including with the Théâtre du Soleil in Paris). Among other things, she is choirmaster at the Ecole Nationale de Musique de Pantin (now the CRD) and at the Conservatoire de Musique de St Michel sur Orge, and has a wide range of artistic activities (theatre, teaching, music, etc.).

As a composer, she has written numerous works for solo voices, choir and instruments.
