"Hör mein Bitten" is inspired by Mendelssohn's Psalm 42, "the passage from darkness to light", she stresses. "You feel this flight, this idea of getting away from worries. ".
An essential programme! The music is of great beauty, very lyrical, with great expressive depth. The simple piano instrumentation makes it accessible to a wide audience. The piece requires a vocal ensemble and a conductor of a good level, the romantic style remaining a sure value for the audience.
