This is a short opera cantata for female or children’s choirs, narrators and pianos. You can easily add gestures. It is based on a famous Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale. This is the story of an ugly duckling who became a beautiful swan. There are characters to mime: the mother duck, the duckling, the hen, the cat, barn’s ducks, swans and children. Two other versions are available. The first one is the original version intended for an accompaniment by eight instruments, and the other one is for choirs and pianos.
