“At the beginning, I wrote those canons for my third-year students of first musical cycle. And then, I began to write two songs a month. Each Saturday before school vacations, the students of my colleagues gathered in order to share our voices and our staging ideas. After a 15-minute rehearsal, we gave a short concert before an audience made-up of parents. These informal appointments became regular and parents quickly understood that canons were based on famous melodies and they sang along with the children.” Laurent Subias
