This sheet music is a Greek litany composed in the 7th century. It requires a free and flexible interpretation similar to a psalmody. Zdzislaw Bernat was born in Poznan in 1930 and passed away in 1994. He studied philosophy and theology in Gniezno and Poznan. He conducted many choirs, including the one he funded in Poznan Cathedral. They give many concerts through Europe. He was a presenter at Lublin University. Father Bernat composed more than two hundred church music works, including masses, hymns, carols, litanies and psalms.
