The legend of Penelope is one of the most endearing there is, and this love beyond time, beyond the seas, is rarely encountered but forms an ideal of beauty to which everyone aspires, even if they can never attain it. This work was conceived as a secular oratorio, but lends itself very well to lyrical staging. It is divided into 5 parts.
