This poem is an extract from “Des Knaben Wunderhorn” (The Boy’s Magic Horn). This is the first work of a cappella “Sieben Lieder” op. 62 and it also seems to be the easiest to play. There is no theoretical difficulty. The interpretation has to be performed with finesse in a soft register. Be careful to vocal intervals.
