Choral Music Octavo - Sheet Music - composition for four a cappella mixed voices SATB by Claude Vercher, liturgical text.
This motet is a hymn to the Virgin Mary based on the text attributed to Adhémar de Monteil, bishop of Le Puy (late 11th century).
It is divided into two sections. The first one is humans’ lamentation while suffering and the second part is an intercession which ends with a verse of worship.
The harmony is modern but without any difficulty, there are also sections intended to be performed by three female voices and other sections are intended to be performed by one or two male voices. The conclusion is quiet and peaceful.
