| |  These are two melancholic poems written by Jean Cocteau in the 1930s. “L’éloge de la neige” is sung by three homophonic female voices, like a praise for silence. At the same time, two male voices sing opposite each other the last verses of “Es regnet” (it’s raining). Kurt Weill wrote in German for Jean Cocteau. Kurt Weill lived in Paris and composed another German piano-vocals lied based on this text. |

| |  This is a famous song from Pow Wow. This is bass who follows the melody. Muffled percussion can be also played; it should help to keep the right beat for we tend to speed up on the end with vowels. Jean Bernard Fourcaud was born in 1953 and now he teaches musical education. He joined À Coeur Joie choir in Puy en Velay in 1971. He has conducted it for some years now. He is also a part of the band Javeiros (Andes type of music). |

César Franck composed this work for sopranos, tenors and basses, organs and double basses. Bernard Lallement arranged it in order to also be performed by altos. The soloist parts can be performed by a small group. |
