| | | Michel-Maurice Lévy (1883-1965) was born in Ville d’Avray. He was a conductor and a composer. He studied at the Conservatoire de Paris and then was a choir master and conductor in different theatres in Paris. He composed several works, e.g a Te Deum, melodies, operas arias and comic operas – including Psyché, Le Petit Navire, Dolorès, Moïse – operettas, a ballet and symphonic music. Georges Hacquard was married with Juliette Hacquard and he was the director of the “Ecole Alsacienne de Paris”. This singing “Notre Dame de la Joie”, was part of the “Petits Chanteurs à la Croix de bois’” repertoire when Monseigneur Maillet was the conductor. |
