| |  “Piae cantiones ecclesiasticae” is a collection of religious songs composed at the beginning of the century by German musicians. They wanted to convey an unfailing faith with melodies easy to sing and to memorize. They were published in Swedish and Finnish Catholics churches until the 19th century.

We notice it in the first part of the motet (1-41) before a harmonious break - worship of the Virgin (42-45) - then a final part (46-73) matching in the first one both in the formal balance and by the usage repeated but varied by the first melodic theme C - E - G.This composer and singer from Spain exercised his activity in the papal chapel of Rome in the decade 1520, chapel which preserved a large number of its works.
