This is a part-song by Roger Calmel. He always chose his texts with a great attention. Every author who inspired him was incredible. Paul Eluard inspired him “Cantate Liberté”, Alphonse Daudet inspired him musical tales for children, Jean-François Deniau inspired him “Le secret du roi des serpents,” Didier Rimbaud inspired him many equal-voice and mixed-voice works, and Charles Péguy, Arthur Rimbaud, Charles of Orléans, Jean de La Fontaine, and more, also were sources of inspirations. He sometimes used esoteric poems difficult to understand, but that’s why they are of an incredible richness.
