This wonderful dissonance which is typical of Claudio Monteverdi’s style is not only considered as the reflection of a love torment but also as a sophisticated writing. While respecting also the diction, it is important to preserve the ternary nature very energetic in the first part and stopped in the middle by this amazing cry “Ahi Stella”. The second binary part would favor the complicity between the three voices and gave an example of the humoristic Italian composer but also the echo notion which was his style in Mantua and in San Marco.
