| | | “Those three songs with a ‘traditional modern’ atmosphere: ‘Ils ont marié ma mie’ deals with a man’s despair going to his betrothed’s wedding but she’s marrying another man. ‘J’à mô lo tolon’ is based on a sonorous and poetic play on words from “j’ai mal au talon” (My heel hurts). ‘Thomi-Thomas/Chibreli-Chibrela’ deals with the first time that Madam was marrying someone. The story ends with ‘chibreli-chibrela, les filles en sont maladies.’ There are many arrangements alternating unison and chords which are sometimes dissonant. The lyrics and the dramatic expression are highlighted and go from seriousness to humor. Voices color can change from one part to another; in this way, the choir can work with a great scale of accuracy.”
