Cantata for solo soprano, women's choir (3 voices) and orchestra

Marie-Madeleine, one of Christ's companions, is a legendary figure, and Marseille, like Vézelay and other French sites, boasts of her passage or stay. She inspired many authors, painters and composers.
This work, despite frequent unisons, is intended for proven vocal ensembles. It can be performed with piano or with orchestra: 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets in Bb, 2 bassoons, 2 horns, 2 trumpets, 1 trombone, 4 timpani and percussion and strings.
The title of the work - 'The Mirror of...' - is already an indication of the process used by the composer: the mirror, which consists of applying the reversal of intervals to the whole of the voices of a polyphony. The melodic and harmonic elements of the polyphony are thus reproduced symmetrically in reverse order, as if they were reflected by a mirror.
